Chris, Phone Home

Finding the time to post to the blog is harder and harder. But… here I am! ![]()
On the entertainment front, my ipod has passed on. The drive went belly up last week. I’m ordering a replacement, which I’ll install myself. I figure it’s already busted, so it won’t hurt for me to try. It may be fun!
Speaking of things I enjoy, I didn’t realize how pleasing city services could be until this week. The solid waste guys came by our house and sucked up the leaves I spent most of my vacation raking to the curb. Taryn called to tell me they were gone, and I wanted to dance a little jig! Can you say, “easily pleased”?
I’ve also been reading an amazing set of stories. They’re an Alternative History series called 1632 written by Dave Weber and Erik Flint from the publisher Baen Books. I downloaded the electronic versions to my Palm Pilot and have been reading them for two weeks. They’ve been the most engrossing read I’ve had in a few years. Really well written, and really interesting facts too. Check them out if you get the chance.
IMAGE: We’re still unpacking boxes, although mostly down in the offices at this point. I pulled out my paltry DVD collection, and realized that it’s A) small and B) indicative of my roots (a guy who grew up in the 80′s). What can I say, I’m a product of my environment. Now I don’t have to collect DVDs… I have Netflix (and 459 movies in our queue).
