Javier Bardem
Posted by chris_engel under Movies
If you are a fan of really great movies, or great actors, then you need to go see “No Country for Old Men“. Javier Bardem plays an emotionless killer with a singular outlook on the world, a unique preference in tools, and a haircut that you won’t soon forget. He plays the heavy, and does it with memorable style. There’s a spread on him in Vanity Fair, shot by Bruce Weber. The images are the kind of portraits that I really appreciate, and work to create when I’m shooting. Bardem is a terrific actor, and it comes through even in stills like Weber’s. I’m looking forward to seeing his other films, especially “The Sea Inside“.

That dude was seriously scary. Nobody intimidates me, but if Javier Bardem told me to give him my pants, I’d do it.

I watched The Sea Inside long ago, and all I can say it is one of those movies that stays with you… Javier looks totally different and his performance is lovely.
