Kent Rogowski Bears

These images, of teddy bears turned inside out, are strangely compelling.  In spite of their bizarre appearance, they still manage to maintain their “cuteness”.  They make me think of the island of lost toys.  I wonder if the same concept could be applied to other things photographically.  Photograph them viewed from an unexpected perspective (e.g. cars from underneath; bicycles from above; deflated sports-toy balls; etc..)

For the last few weeks I’ve been telling everyone who’ll listen how good a year for movies 2008 is going to be.  This trailer (Defiance trailers and video clips on Yahoo! Movies) just adds fuel to that fire.  It looks amazing!

While Taryn is getting ready this morning in our hotel room in Charlotte, I decided to log in and get some work done.  So I sit down at the desk, press the power button on the laptop, and mutter, “Good Morning, open the pod bay doors please, HAL.”.  Taryn turned from the vanity to say, “Isn’t that from ‘The Flight of the Navigator’?”.   I could only laugh…
