I think it’s a pretty freakin’ cool sport, and this video is great. All the jumps are cool, but the last one takes the cake.

I’m sure that everyelse, like me, is super busy at this time of year. Unlike past years, this time my hectic schedule has nothing to do with the season, but has everything to do with work! I’ve got so much going on at the office that I’m not able to take my remaining vacation days, so they disappear on the 1st like Brittany Spears’ dignity at an awards show. I’m still editing pictures from this summer, and I’m hoping to actually do my holiday shopping in the next 3 days (online of course). If you haven’t heard from me lately, please be patient. If you have heard from me, please forgive my ranting. Cheers!
IMAGE: This is an image I made for a coworked with his family. He is including it as part of a humorous holiday gift for him mother. I hope she likes it.

Our runners are preparing for today’s race as I write this. Five o’clock seems way way too early to be getting up. With dawn still an hour away, and a bloody cold wind outside, I’m not envying them the trip out to Staten Island. The plan, since there are concerns about the ability of buses to all get to the starting line on time, is for the guys to take the Staten Island Ferry and then a shuttle out to the race. We’ll be following our usual plan as support folks, and catch them at the 12 mile marker, and again as they enter the park at the 24 mile marker. I’m considering shooting a few pics over the reservoir at dawn, but then again I may find a coffee shop and hole up there for a few hours.

Since the majority of my photo work gets done on the weekends, and I have a sizeable backlog of projects right now, all day today was spent editing images. Even by my standards, today was long, with 18 hours of photo-work logged. I was, happily, able to close out two projects, which leaves me with two more to finish Sunday. And there is leftover office work to do too. This brick wall is gonna’ give one of these days.
